Dear Little Lady #1 : The value of Things

Last night, my daughter was craving for a lot of things. She requested Spaghetti for her dinner, and I asked her Ate to buy one from Jollibee. Then she requested fries from Potato Corner, but sadly the mall was already closed so her Ate decided to buy in Mcdonalds instead. But Mikhaila was so kulit, she insisted on the potato corner fries and refused to eat the fries her Ate bought for her.

And so, I talked to her and explained to her nicely.

Me: You know anak, mommy worked hard for that money that ate used to buy you fries. Diba that's the reason why mommy is not at home all the time, to earn money so you can buy your food and toys, and everything you need. If you don't eat that fries and you'll just throw it away, you're like throwing away all the hardwork that mommy did to earn that money.

Ugh, I know its very deep guys, and after all, its just french fries a five year old kid refuses to eat, and I can just eat it if she does not want to. But my point here is, she needs to learn to appreciate things that are infront of her, and not waste them just because its not what she wants. Its good to start early, and its nice when you let her understand things in a proper way.

And so, minutes later, she called for me and said " Mommy, look I'm eating and sharing my fries with Ate!"

There you go, she didn't just listen, she understood.

PS: I'll be posting more about Mikhaila's lesson more often and will tag this under Dear Little Lady. This way, when my little lady grows up, she'll be able to read how good and naughty she was as a kid.
